Trip Report - Las Vegas

We didn't do or see much having to do with our favorite base. I thought I'd post a few things that might be helpful for anyone visiting the area and looking for something to do other than gambling.

Mt Charleston - I took the family hiking up there one day. We did the Mary Jane Falls hike. Only about 5 miles round trip and 900 foot elevation gain so it was a very easy hike. The temperature was in the high 60's so very pleasant. The falls were fantastic! Ice cold water and beautiful scenery.

National Atomic Testing Museum - We stopped here on our way to the airport. I wish we would have had more time to spend. Great museum with a very friendly staff! I picked up a couple of Roadrunner patches in the gift shop.

Car rental - We rented from Sixt on the advice from another forum member. Their yelp reviews aren't great but we had no issues. We had a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee for a very good price!

Flying out I had a nice view of the Janet Terminal and a few of the 737's. I've included a photo.
