Drones. I understand the footage was taken near San Nicholas Island, a very active Navy black projects R&D site. As the German video I posted a few days ago shows the IR heat signature of a drone can look very unusual and does not reflect the shape of the aircraft at all. The footage is IR, not daytime video.
