Thank you for confirming this. Makes sense, especially given the tailings. The road appears to be traveled quite frequently, as opposed to other roads from that time that are barely visible any more. That makes me think that off-duty personnel likely go up there to explore the mine. I know from first hand accounts that they did in the days of the Roadrunners. I bet you can still find some cool stuff in there...
