With the technical release of the Sabre Engine out of the UK, hypersonic chatter has picked up.

Unfortunately, most of this technology is mature and the taxpayers will have to double-fund these programs.

Anything that was learned from all of the years of SR-71 use was put into R/D in classified projects in the 90's and 2000's, with like program respect.

I don't believe we're at all behind in this technological realm, like other websites somewhat claim. We've just been sitting quietly on the technology for quite awhile until it became such time that the technology was being actively developed in the white world or by other countries.
