Simple(since you asked for help). The Iranian missile test was an unsuccessful attempt at same. You might know that technology released to the public has been in service when needed for some time. We tried to embarass the Iranians by shooting down their missile with our brand new laser technology. It didn't work but we have full deniability (UFO hype). We did effectively hide a 747 from their primitive radar though....
