Another factor I've been thinking about is the ram air pressure into the barrel of the cannon. How would that pressure affect the muzzle velocity of the bullet? And could the barrel handle the combination of that pressure plus the pressure of the firing? This is getting to way to complex for me to try and figure out. :-)
