FWIW, the "small structures at 37° 9'46.28"N, 115°46'48.13"W" are: The service roads leading down to the building at 37°10'21.94"N 115°46'19.35"W are present in a 1968 satellite image (although the site is outside the frame). So the radio site, or at least part of it, dates back to before 1968.
- A white 55 gallon barrel with a number on it. This is used at many intersections in the Groom area for orientation and perimeter security. A similar structure can be found near the intersection at N 37 12' 50" W 115 45' 15". See the attached link for a photo of one of the drums.
- Probably a (reflective) warning sign or silver ball, or some other feature marking the border of Area 51 towards bombing range 64A in the south.
